Knight of Faith!

I am re-blogging the above link because, to be honest,  the excerpts of Kirkegaard put my writing abilities in their proper place; inspired humility!

Thankfully I don’t play hockey because now I understand what it means to be blindsided by a crosscheck. Yet, because of the game, I the rookie… love the game and will develop my peripheral vision to be ready for  from future onslaughts! So just as the “swoosh” of my Nike shoes remind me, “Let’s do this!”

Knight of Faith

O’ Hero, Knight of faith,
Keeper of the flame,
Rescuerer of oppressed,
Free me from my shame.
Hear me call Your Name.

Days of fear and darkness,
Crowd in shadowed doubt,
Hours of isolation,
Eclipse the sun in blackout,
Blinding even devout.

Long nights of the soul,
Covered in this soot,
Moaning humiliation,
Rotting death is all that’s smelt,
In captives and myself.

Persecution never ends,
Hate will find its way,
For Evil serves one master,
Prowling every nation,
Causing Faith’s ablation.

Still Yahweh knits a remnant,
Within chosen yarns,
A weave of promised colors,
To save through His anointed,
Messiah Ben David.

O’ Knight of Faith rescue me,
From my night of faith,
Guns now push me to a door,
Smiling evil welcomes me,
Knight of Faith come set me free!Gasping now amidst the gas,
In life’s final glimpse,
I see a familiar face,
I remember Your Name,
Knight of Faith, for me you finally came.

Written during WW2, on the wall of a cellar, by a Jew in the Cologne concentration camp.

“I believe in the sun
even when it is not shining
And I believe in love,
even when there’s no one there.
And I believe in God,
even when he is silent.

I believe through any trial,
there is always a way
But sometimes in this suffering
and hopeless despair
My heart cries for shelter,
to know someone’s there
But a voice rises within me, saying hold on
my child, I’ll give you strength,
I’ll give you hope. Just stay a little while.

I believe in the sun
even when it is not shining
And I believe in love
even when there’s no one there
But I believe in God
even when he is silent
I believe through any trial
there is always a way.

May there someday be sunshine
May there someday be happiness
May there someday be love
May there someday be peace….”

Do You Know What I’ve Done For You?

Do you know what I’ve done for you? If I took away all your gifts only your sin would remain. Why do you hoard or glory in your gifts? Have you forgotten that all you possess, less your sins, are gifts from God?

Hear my commands!
Wash the feer of one another, clothe the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned, offer shelter to the homeless! Pray for those who persecute you since they hated me first. Instruct the ignorant, encourage the grieving, and pray for the living and the dead.

Truly, it is better to light one candle then curse the darkness. Surely, if I am in your heart, then how can despair exist? If in your dying breath you surrender the cares of your heart to me, then where is death’s sting?

Tell me friend, can there be anything more than the “Good News” I preach? Love is my burning promise, for my love is perfect and sacrifice for all complete! Darkness cannot exist in my glow, just as the cold cannot but be warmed by the heat of my flame, or the shadows of fear run from my radiant light.

Do you believe that the Father and I are one? Can you see the Father in me? Do you believe I can see myself in you? If you doubt, then repent your unbelief and return your faith in me! For all will be judge by my reflection in one’s heart. All works of mercy for your neighbor will be gathered, like wheat from the chaff. All that remains is the burning forgiveness of your vanity.

Do you love me?

Know that no sin exists between the Father and me because Heaven will be eternally immaculate, ever-giving, inseparable as a three-corded rope binding the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Do you love me?

Truly, truly I say to you, that Paradise awaits those who love me. I will make all things new and restore Heaven to Earth.

Because I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, and all things exists through me!

Do you love me?

I will ask you one more time, Do you know what I have done for you?

Prayer – A Remarkable Moment In Time

A chyme alerts me of sad news from a text,
A son’s friend stricken with the virus.
Oxygen levels are failing –
In dire need of a ventilator.

I am asked to pray.

Alone in the quiet I offer my heart,
Lord, You are the very breath of Life,
My strong tower and safe harbor,
send Your angels to safeguard a friend.

I know he’s in his sixties but not his name,
Left only to wonder of his heart.
Is my friend imprisoned in fear?
Or has my friend found refuge in Christ?

Prayer calls me again…

Lord, You are unchanging, therefore ever new,
You give mercy to those most in need,
Spirit come invade my dear friend,
Drench him in the gift of fearlessness

Despite the quiet, I know my heart’s been heard,
For this once stranger is now my friend,
Wherever he coughs is not far,
Today, two hearts are now bound as one.

Prayer lights compassion’s candle,
A sole, yet defiant flickering flame,
that chases away the darkness.
One flame can ignite many,
With Heaven’s hope that sets this world on fire.

Prayer will call us all.

Pray for the world.

My Joy

Joy sings from towering elevations,
High atop shoulders of God’s humility,
Echoes reaffirm its exultation,
Rebounding in fading harmony,
Valleys spill from Your revelation,
Rising into flowing rivers of liquid melodies,
Teeming with uncontainable joy is my gift for Thee!

Gratitude floods like milk and honey,
Drowning in a debt I could never repay,
Ample oxygen of thy mercy,
To steal another breath to float songs of praise,
To be still and know You – rescues me,
Glorious are You, my song, Everlasting God-In-Three,
Bless You Lord, for drenching me – in faith, hope, and charity!

The Beautiful One

The heart sees,
what’s blind to the eyes,
rivers, mountains, and trees, marvels for granted and denied,
landscapes flourish iridescently free,
the heart asks the mind,”Where does beauty come?”
The mind quickens and says,”The Beautiful One!”

Faith conceives,
joining heart and mind,
Once invisible to see.
Sleeping soul awakes to find, despair finds hope; life locked finds key.
Dry reads of scripture thirst for signs,
the soul proclaims God’s movement in all things,
heart and mind extol,”O Death where art thou sting?”

God is Love!
Joyous revelation!
From faith, hope, and love, reborn through incarnation,
a Son is given from above,
an Ark of flesh bears our resurrection!
Life’s answer remains, “If beauty exists,
then seek and you shall find that God’s in our midst.”

Agony and Ecstasy

The Agony,
the Ecstasy,
Sorrow’s weight,
my sweat bleeds.
This weight of sin,
only I can see,

ABBA’s cup,
just for me.
Perfect Will,
filling me,
as I drink,
His dregs of mercy.

Tearing flesh,
Thorns now pierce,
crowning me.
Screams for blood,
are surrounding me.

Wood for me,
I stumble,
to carry,
Just to fall,
Drained of energy.

The Agony!
The ecstasy!
Forgive them,
ABBA please!
Take this life,
You willed for me.
My sacrifice
Your Love in Mercy.
