Our Racism 24/7

Racism Witness

History can no longer be hidden,
As racism paints our real-time streams.
White privilege has become bedridden,
Unable to wake from its cozy dreams.

Brothers left beaten by boys in blue,
Oaths to serve and protect forgotten,
When will white pride put on oppressed shoes?
Still blind eyes turn from their days of cotton!

Indignities of indignities,
Wicked betrayals to brotherhood,
A self-caused American disease,
Now forcing riots in our neighborhoods.

True equality for ALL citizens,
Lest’ the privileged accept God’s condemnation.

Peace waits impatiently…

Rainbows to Daybreak…where Love waits.

The Light

582749main_sunrise_from_iss-4x3_946-710

We are all touched by The Light,
Unknowingly.
Blind to our condemnation.
Our darkness carried nonchalantly;
The very Wrath of God.
Still Grace abounds,
Teasing our senses,
While flirting through rainbows.
The wind catches our breath,
Warning of the coming rain,
Revealing the underside of leaves,
Like the underside of us.
Epiphany dawns like daybreak,
Baptized in the morning rays,
Darkness flees in faith’s grasp,
Of newfound hope,
And eternal love.
No longer condemned,
In the lifting of a cross,
Another soul carries,
The Light.
